Guidelines for Correspondents of RWC

1.NEUTRALITY:

Whatever his personal opinion is, the Registration Center Officer should remain completely neutral about the political, religious and philosophical choices of his or her interlocutors.

In spite of our differences we all are World Citizens. Those who recognize themselves as World Citizens, should accept these differences and make them accepted by others as long as they do not stand against human rights i.e. personal, ethnic groups and minorities rights. As a consequence of the neutrality principle, no Registration Center Officer will in name of the World Citizens go beyond the ideas and actions that brought them together. It can happen that in some cases this rules seem difficult to apply, for example if you would like occasionally to cooperate with some non profit organizations or if sometimes you have to comment a political event. If it seems too difficult to decide, please consult with the World Citizens Registry .

2. VOLUNTEERS:

The principle of volunteering should be applied rigorously to everybody responsible at the Registry of World Citizens Center. The money collected from the Citizen of the World should never be used for personal purposes. Consequently if financial difficulties arise the manager should inform the World Citizen Registry and a decision should be made by general consensus.

3. INFORMATION ON THE USE OF THE CARD:

It is extremely important to explain to the card holder that this document will not allow him to get any financial aid, to cross boundaries or to get resident status.

As a matter of fact, the RWC's action despite of its poverty is non governmental.

The RWC, not hoping for any support or subsidies from governments is working at the edification of a worldwide authority, which gives the World Citizen card a strong symbolic value but it has no practical use with present national administrations.

4. WHAT IS THE MISSION OF A RWC MANAGER?

a) He must talk about world citizenship around him and to avoid waste of money, he should give out newsletters and registration forms only to those who seem interested.

b) If he receives a registration request, he must verify that :

1. The information are readable and complete especially the address including residence (this address will be mentioned on the card) and the mailing address where the card should be will be send.

2. The language in which the card will be issued is explicitly chosen

3. The application form has been signed

c) On the back of the picture (not mandatory) his name has been written to avoid further confusion.

d) Finally he will collect the equivalent of 15 ¬ in local currency or 8 ¬ in case of financial difficulties.

e) Then he will send the registration forms or better all the forms together in 30 days maximum. We will then issue the cards and send them directly to the new World Citizens.

5. FINANCES:

Registration Fee: half of the money collected will be transferred to the Registry, via post office check
(CCP 2848 94 Y PARIS) , international check or bank check. The other half will be used by the manager to finance administration and advertising expenses.

Voluntary contribution: Voluntary contributions must be transferred in full to the Registry.
