On January 1, 1949, Garry Davis announces the creation of International Registry of World Citizens. By amendment of the statutes on October 28, 2000, the name becomes "World Citizens Registry". On April 3, 2012, the association is transformed into a world federation. The goals assigned to the World Citizens Registry have remained unchanged since 1949.
