For the 6th time since 1969, mundialists have
organized at world level, transnational elections for a
PEOPLES CONGRESS, the forerunner of a World Assembly of
the People of the world, whose creation is becoming more
and more urgent.
Indeed, if the populations of the democratic countries
are able to make use of their power of choosing, at
different levels :
- in the city, to sole city problems,
- in their county or borough, to solve the county or
borough problems,
- in the nation, to solve national problems,
they are NEVER CONSULTED ABOUT WORLD PROBLEMS where
are at stake the survival of the human species : war,
malnutrition, underdevelopment, over-population,
ecological unbalance, pollution, energy crisis, scarcity
of non-renewable resources, economic and monetary
disorders
Mundialist want to span this abyss and fill the
blank.
To show that such elections can be organized,
mundialists have undertaken to organize transnational
elections, all over the world, by themselves and without
any financial means. It is thus that the PEOPLES CONTRESS
war born, the result of a democratic poll, at world level
:
A body of voters that involves more than 50.000
individuals living in 110 different countries, drawn from
World Citizens members, from members of humanitarian
associations or from inhabitants of different
geographical areas, appointed 10 delegates, directly and
democratically, in the course of five transnational
elections, the first of that type in the history of
mankind.
As early as July 5th 1988, the Peoples Congress began
working and made an appeal to the leaders of the
Nations-States, asking for a limited transfer of their
nation's sovereignty to be made to the benefit of World
Institutions, so as to solve the world problems we listed
before.
IF THIS LIMITED TRANSFER OF SOVEREIGNTY IS NON
CARRIED OUT,
THE WORLD LEADERS WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE OF FUTURE WORLD
DISASTERS.
A 6th election is now being held ; among the voters,
we can find the inhabitants of mundialized cities such as
TOURCOING, and ARÈS in France, DUNDAS in Canada,
and AYABÉ in Japan. The Vote-counting for this
election will take place in Tokyo, on July 28th, during
an important Mundialist Congress.
The Peoples Congress is, this year, presided by Marc
GARCET, a professor in Belgium ; the vice-President is
Mrs. Rajan NEHRU (India).
What a very small number of persons have been able to
achieve, without anything much in the way of financial
means, the world governments, when they become conscious
of the dangers that threaten our compartmented globe,
will easily achieve this aim and can work for the
creation of a World Assembly of the People.
